Dancing Weekend
The “Leevandia Entertainment”, “Cinemacall” project and design-platform “Flacon” presents: Dancing Weekend.
On the 6th and 7th of February from 11:30 to 21:30 a massive campaign Dancing Weekend will take place on the territory of the design platform “Flacon”. The event coincides with Russian premiere of the film “Desert Dancer”.
A debut film “Desert Dancer” by Richard Reymond came out on Russian screens in February 2016. One of the biggest west choreographers Akram Han was a dancing coordinator; the leading parts took Freida Pinton (Slumdog Millionaire), Reece Ritchie (The Lovely Bones, Prince Of Persia) and Tom Cullen (Weekend, Downton Abbey).
The film is based on a wonderful real story of Iranian dancer’s fight for his self-expression freedom through dancing in the country where this art is forbidden by law. “Desert Dancer” is a true story of young people who risk their lives in the fights for human rights and their dreams.
“Dancing Weekend” project is a two days event dedicating to dancing and Near East culture.
- During these two days teachers of the biggest Moscow dancing schools will make free master classes for all of those who are willing to learn how to dance. The guests will be able to learn the basics of a classic and modern dances, to see the performances of professional dancers of the leading schools.
- On the third floor of “The Cube” space there will be a market of eastern jewelries and accessories; also, there will be a food table with exotic dishes. Visitors will find several food tracks outside as well.
- Alongside with dancing master classes there will be special themed screenings of Russian short films on the second floor of “The Cube” space.
- A special premiere screening of the film “Desert Dancer” will finish the program.
The opening of all the events on the 6th and 7th of February is at 11:30!
An exclusive screening of the film “Desert Dancer” will take place on the second floor of “The Cube” space on Saturday and Sunday at 19:30.
